I've been using Windows 7 Home Basic for a while now and I'm wondering if it's worth upgrading to a newer version. I mainly use my computer for web browsing, streaming videos, and some light document editing.
I'm aware that Windows 7 is no longer supported with security updates, and that's a big concern for me. But I'm also worried about whether my laptop will handle a newer version smoothly and if the upgrade process is complicated.
Has anyone here made the switch from Windows 7 Home Basic to either Windows 10 or 11? How was the experience, in terms of performance and compatibility? Are there any major issues I should be aware of before upgrading? Any advice on the best way to carry out the upgrade would also be appreciated!
