I recently discovered that Microsoft Publisher is set to be discontinued by October 2026. I came across this informatoin quite unexpectedly and it really took me by surprise, especially considering how seamlessly Publisher integrates images and text compared to Microsoft Word. According to the news piece I read, Microsoft plans for Designer, PowerPoint, and Word to take over the functionalities currently served by Publisher. Having subscribed to Office 365 for years primarily because it offered access to the complete Office suite, this is a bit of a shock. I use Publisher daily at work and it's my go-to tool for creating brochures whenever anyone seeks my assistance.
