I’ve been messing around with Windows installations, and I stumbled upon something unexpected when trying to install Windows 11! I was initially getting an error related to Secure Boot and TPM, which is common, but here’s the twist - after adjusting the BIOS settings to enable those, I still faced issues.
During the install process, I was met with a new screen giving me a compatibility warning about my graphics drivers not being up to date, which is strange for an installer to pick up on? Has anyone else encountered something similar? Is Windows 11 pulling more hardware-related checks than we’re aware of?
I tackled this by downloading the latest drivers from another machine, installing them during setup via the command prompt, and voila! It smoothed right out.
Now I’m curious - have others found hidden compatibility checks or requirements during installs? Are there other quirky workarounds that you’ve discovered while installing or upgrading to Windows 11? Let’s pool together our weird install tales!
