I’m doing a clean install of Windows 11 from a USB drive on my laptop, and I keep running into an error that says “A media driver your computer needs is missing.” It pops up right after I click Install Now, before I get to select the drive where I want Windows to go.
I’ve tried redownloading the ISO from Microsoft and recreating the USB stick with both Media Creation Tool and Rufus, but it still shows the same message. I’m not really sure what “media driver” it wants. Is it for the USB itself, or something else? My BIOS is set to boot from USB just fine. The laptop has an NVMe SSD if that matters.
Anyone know exactly what this means and how to get around it? Do I actually need to find a driver? If so, which one and where do I put it during install? Any tips are welcome.
