Does anyone else feel like gaming on Windows isn’t the clear-cut “best choice” it used to be? Between constant background updates, intrusive ads, inconsistent performance after Windows updates, and the frequent push towards Xbox/Game Pass integration, I can’t help but feel like the experience has actually become worse in the last few years.
Am I the only one noticing more random crashes or stuttering since Windows 11? Why is it that every time I update my system, I worry about some driver or game-breaking? Does anyone else think Microsoft is getting too aggressive with all this cloud and subscription stuff instead of actually focusing on making Windows a stable, gamer-friendly platform first?
I get that Windows is still where most of the games are, but is it really the gold standard for PC gaming anymore? Are people actually starting to seriously consider Linux or other alternatives, or is that all just hype? Curious what others are thinking-especially those who’ve been gaming on Windows for a decade or two.
