Windows 11 Terminal

I’m new to Windows 11 and saw there’s something called “Terminal.” Is that the same thing as the old Command Prompt, or is it different? How do I use it, and are there any cool things I can do with it as a beginner? I’d love some tips or basic commands to try!

The Terminal is like Command Prompt’s cooler, modern cousin-it lets you run Command Prompt or PowerShell (and even other shells) all in one fancy window with tabs. For fun, try typing wt in the Run box (Win+R) to launch it. As a beginner, play around with dir, cd, or ipconfig to see some basic magic, and if you mess something up, don’t worry-Windows usually survives.

One thing to add: Windows Terminal also lets you customize your experience quite a bit. You can change the color schemes, add transparency, or set up keyboard shortcuts for your favorite shells. If you’re curious, try right-clicking the title bar and choosing “Settings”-it’s an easy way to personalize your workflow and make the terminal fit your preferences!
