So, can someone explain why my Windows 11 machine brags about having DirectX 12, yet half my games treat it like I’m still rocking Windows XP? I mean, the specs say DirectX 12 is there, but when I try to enable those “super ultra mega realistic” settings, my computer just laughs and gives me a slideshow instead of gameplay.
Is DirectX 12 only for people with GPUs blessed by Microsoft’s secret society, or is my potato just too vintage to handle the magic? Would love to hear if anybody else’s games think their DX12 is imaginary.
Also, if my PC bursts into flames from enabling ray tracing, do I qualify for a Windows Achievement or just a new fire hazard insurance policy?
