Why does Windows 10 in VMware run slower than my motivation on a Monday morning? Seriously, I’ve given it more RAM than my laptop uses watching Netflix, and it still lags like it’s auditioning for a slow-motion movie. Is there a secret “make this work like a normal person’s computer” setting hidden somewhere? Or is this just Microsoft’s way of telling me to upgrade to Windows 11? Totally get where you’re coming from. Honestly, sometimes it’s VMware’s graphics settings that trip things up-try switching between “Accelerate 3D graphics” on/off, or crank up the video memory. Also, double-check if you’ve given your VM too many CPU cores; that can actually make things worse! And yeah, background Windows Updates inside the VM? Those can be slower than Monday coffee too.

Another thing worth checking is your VM’s storage type-if you’re using a virtual disk on a slow HDD instead of an SSD, performance can tank fast.
